Detectives Investigating Early Morning Shooting in Boynton Beach

BOYNTON BEACH, FL – Palm Beach County Sheriff’s office detectives are investigating an early morning shooting that took place on the 2300 block of NW 17th Ave, in Boynton Beach yesterday.

According to police, when deputies responded, two victims were suffering from gunshot wounds and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

After further investigation, police determined the injured individuals; a male and female, were involved in a domestic disturbance resulting in one shooting the other and the other turning the gun on themselves. The aggressor in the incident is still being determined.

Both individuals were in critical condition; at this time their conditions are unknown.

9/23/2019 PBSO UPDATE: The victim, Tereza Dias-Oliveira, 44, is still in critical condition. The suspect, Rodrigo Oliveira, 44, was pronounced dead on September 22, 2019, of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Further investigation determined Rodrigo to be the aggressor, shooting his wife Tereza then turning the gun on himself.
