New Public Information Officer Added to Broward Sheriff’s Office

The Broward Sheriff’s Office has announced it has added a new face in media; Miranda Grossman, who is joining the departments Public Information Office. Prior to her career working for law enforcement, Miranda was a television reporter and web content editor.

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – The Broward Sheriff’s Office has announced it has added a new face in media; Miranda Grossman, who is joining the departments Public Information Office. Miranda was most recently the Public Information manager for the Hollywood Police Department.

According to the release, while at the Hollywood Police Department, Miranda handled media relations while also running all social media platforms for the department. She helped write, produce, shoot and edit recruitment videos and social media content. She was also responsible for publishing the Hollywood Police Annual Report, among other internal communications. She also hosted award presentations and other police functions and ceremonies.

Prior to her career working for law enforcement, Miranda was a television reporter and web content editor. She got her start in media working as a multi-media reporter for stations in Maine and Massachusetts, where she was able to pursue her passion for storytelling. She then moved south to Florida, where she worked as website editor for WPEC in West Palm Beach, writing and editing web content for the station. She later joined the staff at Fusion TV, an ambitious web/TV collaboration between ABC News and Univision, where she was responsible for managing content on both TV and web platforms.

A native of the Boston area, Miranda Grossman received her master’s in broadcast journalism from Boston University and a bachelor’s degree in Hispanic studies and fine arts from the University of Southern Maine. Miranda has been a volunteer for Big Brothers Big Sisters and is an advocate for environmental issues.
