DETECTIVES: Driver of Cadillac SUV Sought After Hit-and-Run Killed 39 Year Old Female on Dixie Highway in Lake Worth Beach

LAKE WORTH BEACH, FL – In the early hours of this morning, about 6AM, police say a 39 year old female pedestrian was fatally struck and killed by a driver who fled the scene. The search is now on for the suspect who police say was driving a Cadillac SUV with Florida tag “CPG1015” although the color of the vehicle was not contained in the report.

According to official documents released by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Division, the driver of the Cadillac was traveling northbound within the 600 block of N Dixie Highway within the inside lane when a pedestrian was improperly crossing from the east side of Dixie Highway to the west side.

The right front of the SUV impacted and ran over the pedestrian. The unknown driver then fled the scene. The pedestrian died on scene from injuries sustained during this crash.
