Shooting Takes Life of One Male and Leaves Another Critically Injured; Suspect Remains At Large

The incident, according to the report, took place on 12/27/2019 at approximately 7:00 a.m. at the address of 690 NE 159 Street Miami, indicating the park was Oak Grove Recreation Center. Detectives are urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.

MIAMI, FL – The Miami-Dade Police Department, Homicide Bureau is investigating a shooting that resulted in one dead and another injured. According to investigators, uniformed officers responded to the restroom area of a local park after receiving a 911 call from a passerby.

Upon arrival the officers discovered two victims just outside of the restrooms suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue pronounced one of the victims deceased at the scene and transported the second victim to an area hospital in critical condition. There is no subject information at this time.
