BREAKING: Broward Detectives Investigating Double Shooting In Weston; One Dead, One Critically Injured; Suspected Domestic Dispute

WESTON, FL – Broward Sheriff’s Office homicide detectives are investigating shooting which caused the death of a 23-year-old Venezuelan woman in Weston Thursday night. 

According to the police, at approximately 10:18 p.m. Jan. 2, deputies responded to 1065 Spyglass in Weston and discovered a woman lying on the floor in the residence suffering from a gunshot wound. The homeowner, Alan Orozco, had also been shot multiple times.

Broward Sheriff’s detectives believe the two were involved in a a domestic dispute that ended in the double shooting. Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue pronounced the woman dead at the scene. Orozco, 49, was transported to Broward Health Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. The identity of the woman is pending notification of next of kin. 

The homicide investigation continues.
