Road Rage Leads to Shooting On State Road Seven In Royal Palm Beach

ROYAL PALM BEACH, FL – According to the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office, a road rage incident resulted in a dispute where a firearm was used to shoot a driver on State Road Seven in Royal Palm Beach. Authorities say that one ‘person of interest’ has been detained.

According to the report, on February 22, 2020 at approximately 4:00 pm, two vehicles were traveling north on SR 7 from SR 80 when one cut off the other. The vehicles continued north to the intersection of Weisman Way. There, the driver of one of the vehicles exited and confronted the other. That driver fired a shot at the other but missed, however, it struck the window of a bystander’s vehicle.

The bystander drove home and realized that she suffered a small laceration to her left thigh. She was subsequently transported to Wellington Medical with non-life threatening injuries. 

No information was released on the identity of the suspect, however, accounting to Palm Beach County arrest records for the 22nd of February, two white male’s were charged with the following crime: Aggravated Battery against a person with the use of a deadly weapon which indicates it was likely one of these two arrests that day.
