Hernando Detectives Investigating Shooting at Spring Hill Apartment Complex

Witnesses called 9-1-1 to tell dispatchers that a man had been shot several times while in the parking lot of the establishment. The suspects, an unidentified black male and an unidentified Hispanic male, fled the scene prior to law enforcement arrival.
According to authorities, a preliminary investigation by the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office revealed this was not some sort of random act of violence, and there is no suspected danger to the community.

SPRING HILL, FL – On Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at approximately 12:30 a.m., operators in the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Communications Center began receiving 9-1-1 calls in regards to “multiple shots fired” in the parking lot of the Nantucket Cove Apartment complex in Spring Hill, FL. Some callers reported hearing an argument r observing a “physical fight” in the parking lot, just before they heard shots.

Upon arrival, deputies located a male on Suzanne Drive, suffering from a gunshot wound. Suzanne is just north of the complex.

Hernando County Fire and Emergency Services arrived on scene and subsequently transported the victim to a local trauma center.

A preliminary investigation revealed this was not some sort of random act of violence, and there is no suspected danger to the community.

The adult male victim was found to have non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.

The investigation into this incident is active.
