SAN LUIS, AZ – A Gadsden Elementary School District Board Member and Ex-Mayor of San Luis, Arizona have been indicted in connection with ballot trafficking during the 2020 presidential election and are currently slated to appear in court next Thursday in an attempt to secure a plea bargain.

Guillermina Fuentes stands accused of trafficking ballots in San Luis, Arizona, and was originally set to enter a not guilty plea on May 12; however, additional evidence against her presented by the release of the documentary film “2000 Mules appears to have made Fuentes change her plea and seek to cut a deal with prosecutors.

“2000 Mules” is the work of political commentator, author, and filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza, which examines alleged large-scale ballot-harvesting during the 2020 Presidential election and purports that many of said ballots were fraudulent and contributed to former President Donald Trump’s unsuccessful attempt at a second term in the White House.

The “mules” in the film’s title, D’Souza alleges, are “professional operatives who are dropping fraudulent ballots into mail-in dropboxes.”

Fuentes has been charged with forgery and conspiracy – both Class 4 felonies – as well as two felony counts of ballot abuse; an associate of Fuentes, Alma Yadira Juarez, had previously entered a guilty plea, claiming that Fuentes had provided the ballots to her to put into drop boxes.

The date for Fuentes’ plea hearing is set for June 2.

David Lara and Arizona State Senate candidate Gary Snyder were the individuals who exposed Fuentes and Juarez via hidden camera footage that the two had clandestinely recorded while investigating the election; this work was featured in “2000 Mules.” The footage had originally been handed over to state Attorney General Mark Brnovich prior to the 2020 election, but the AG put off filing charges until December 2020.

A second member of the school board that Fuentes serves upon, Gloria Torres, was recently served with a search warrant and her home combed through by authorities; this was also in connection with alleged ballot trafficking uncovered in “2000 Mules.”
