MANATEE COUNTY, FL – Over the last week, I have both read and engaged in many conversations about the Texas Shooting, killing 19 human beings. This scenario is a very controversial subject, because it elicits sadness, empathy, anger and rage from every human with a flickering brain cell and soul.
“The Texas shooter violated a multiplicity of gun laws. The suggestion that more gun laws would’ve prevented this act of unspeakable evil is unsupported, and the implication that those who oppose such laws are somehow in favor of mass shootings is morally reprehensible.” Ben Shapiro
I’ve watched the political liberal left’s rage demanding more gun control laws, as well as the conservative right’s dug in stance, whereby refusing to surrender a God given right to “Stand Their Ground.”
Looking at the current Executive Branch Administration’s laissez-faire attitudes about open boarders and law abiding citizens rights to protect their families, I began to see a pattern.
Our nation is suffering from a spiritual malady.
We’ve allowed God and the Pledge of Allegiance to be removed from our children’s daily lives, watching political agendas pushing aside family nucleus‘s and parental rights.
These instances of horror are a symptom of a moral degradation of our society.
A mentally ill man committed this heinous act, and the gun that he used was not the problem. The fact that our country continues to turn a blind eye to the mentally ill humans, who can refuse medication and/or treatment, places every other person in harms way.
People do not like to discuss mental illness, as if it were somehow worse than diabetes, heart disease, or cancer. It is not.
I intimately know the horrors of living with someone incapable of functioning without medication, and it broke my heart as a child, and continues to do so as a grown woman.
The stigmatized image is on the corner of most American freeways, holding signs, right smack in our faces, daily. Yet, we do nothing.
Additionally, I’ve read little to no questioning from our Paid Electives or mainstream media questioning where an 18 years old illegal got his hands on two guns, $2k in protective body gear, or the $17k truck?
Who. Funded. The. Lunatic? THAT is the real question behind the Texas Massacre.
The current open boarder situation may, indeed, be an answer to that question, as illegal immigrants flood our country. Unvetted people, many who have nefarious criminal histories. Cartel, gangs, drugs, human trafficking and guns seeping into the fabric of American bedroom communities, all the while, law abiding citizens are fighting against the leftist storm to strip us of our Second Amendment rights.
This massacre is not the first, nor the twentieth. And, it’s become all too familiar to the good citizens of our nation. And, every time it occurs, nothing changes—Which is the very definition of insanity: Doing the same thing over and over, expecting different results.
Nothing will bring back those precious lights—and, the emotional bankrupt burden of the families will linger eternally.
It is this writers opinion that we do not need stricter gun reform, but rather a coming together as a nonpartisan society. We need to address some very fundamental issues of reopening state mental institutions, putting American Pride back into our schools, cease the unnecessary political indoctrination of our children, purge the notion that a grade school child requires lessons on sexual identity, close our boarder and finish our nations much needed walls.
Additionally, the “adults” need to reach across the aisle and shut our mouths and LISTEN to each other. Because this political divide is being nurtured by our politicians and propaganda mills. It serves them well—All the labeling of racism needs to be tabled, and fundamentally understood that there is one race: The Human Race.
We are sitting at a point in time akin of the fall of the Roman Empire; and, it’s time to get back to basics.
This should not be a political issue, but rather a “humane“ issue.
When will the good people of our nation raise our voices against the paid electives who so cleverly continue to divide us?
May we all find a way back to respecting the constitutional rights of our fellow citizens move towards the ability to have civilized conversations with people who have opinions that different from ours.
Godspeed.
