WASHINGTON, D.C. – According to a 2018 voicemail retrieved from a backup of cellphone data contained on Hunter Biden’s infamous “laptop from Hell,” Joe Biden was aware of his beleaguered son’s potentially illegal dealings with a corrupt Chinese oil businessman.

The elder Biden can be heard on the voicemail referencing a New York Times article published on December 12, 2018 that covered Hunter’s business relationship with Ye Jianming, a Chinese oil tycoon who ran the CEFC China Energy Company in 2016; he would then be arrested two years later after being accused of economic crimes.

“Hey pal, it’s Dad. It’s 8:15 on Wednesday night. If you get a chance, just give me a call. Nothing urgent. I just wanted to talk to you,” Joe Biden said. “I thought the article released online, it’s going to be printed tomorrow in the Times, was good. I think you’re clear. And anyway if you get a chance, give me a call, I love you.”

The voicemail appears to contradict claims that President Biden made where he denied ever having spoken with Hunter in regards to his relationships with foreign business entities, or that he was aware that said relationships could be tinged with illegality.

“I have never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings,” Biden was quoted as saying in September 2019.

Some of the emails retrieved from Hunter’s laptop show a deal worth millions between him and CEFC – driven by the potential benefits of his relationship with his powerful father – with 10 percent allegedly earmarked for “the big guy,” which was purportedly a reference to Joe Biden, who was running for President at the time.

The voicemail sparked continued calls for an investigation into President Biden’s role and knowledge as they pertain to Hunter’s foreign business affairs, with Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) accusing the Commander-In-Chief of lying to cover for his son’s alleged crimes.

“Joe Biden said he ‘never spoke’ with Hunter about his business dealings. That is simply not true. We need to know what Joe Biden knew and when he knew it,” she said. “This voicemail is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the evidence mounting against the Biden Crime Family. When Republicans take back Congress, we will use our congressional power of oversight to uncover the truth for every American as a matter of national security.”

Hunter Biden is currently under federal investigation for possible tax fraud relating to his foreign business dealings.
