A 43-year-old man was arrested after allegedly pointing a gun at a 6-year-old child during candy delivery.

The child accidentally delivered a Halloween goody bag to a house in Long Island, New York. The incident took place in Manhasset, and it has left the community in shock.

According to the Nassau County Police Department, the incident occurred on a Saturday when a local family set out to deliver a bag of Halloween candy.

A mother drove her 10-year-old daughter, two young sons, and a nephew, believing they were visiting her daughter’s friend.

To make the delivery, the 10-year-old girl and her 6-year-old brother approached the property, rang the doorbell, and left the bag of Halloween treats on the porch.

They then returned to their car and began to drive away.

However, it quickly became apparent that they may have stopped at the wrong address.

The 10-year-old girl noticed the mistake and requested her mother to turn the car around and retrieve the candy bag.

Upon their return to the house, the 6-year-old boy approached the porch to retrieve the bag they had left behind.

A 43-year-old man was arrested after allegedly pointing a gun at a 6-year-old child during an incident.

It was at this moment that a shocking incident occurred.

A man, identified as 43-year-old Michael Yifan Wen, reportedly emerged from the house with a black handgun.

He pointed the gun at the child’s head and allegedly shouted, “Get the f*** off my property.”

Wen was arrested without incident and has been charged with menacing in the second degree and endangering the welfare of a child.

As of now, information about Wen’s attorney is not available, but he is scheduled to be arraigned on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at First District Court in Hempstead.

This incident is a stark reminder of the potential consequences of misunderstandings and the importance of responsible firearm ownership.

Unfortunately, it is not the first time that innocent mistakes have led to high-profile incidents of gun violence.

Similar cases in other parts of the country highlight the need for de-escalation and peaceful conflict resolution, mainly when confusion arises in everyday situations.

The legal proceedings will determine the consequences of Wen’s actions, and the community will watch closely as the case unfolds.
