In accordance with New Jersey officials,a school custodian at an elementary school has been accused of masturbating on objects at his job and contaminating students’ meals with bleach and his bodily fluids.
The Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office states that Giovanni Impellizzeri, a resident of Vineland, was employed by the Upper Deerfield Township school district as a teacher at the Elizabeth F. Moore School, which serves students in grades three through five.
Prosecutors claimed that he uploaded videos of himself doing these acts at the school online.
In accordance with an affidavit from New Jersey State Police, Elizabeth Moore School was notified of the “extremely disturbing” videos that were uploaded on the messaging app Telegram. The videos showed the 25-year-old wiping his genitals with bread slices and spitting on them before replacing the bread in its container.
Additionally, he is seen dousing cucumbers that will be served to the students with bleach.
According to police, he is suspected of urinating and masturbating on kitchen bowls and pillows while at the school.
Since September 2019, Impellizzeri has worked for Upper Deerfield Township Schools, according to officials. According to the release, they are investigating whether the acts happened recently or in the past.
Prosecutors said that the school district is collaborating with the county public health department to guarantee hygienic food preparation and disposal of the items Impellizzeri is alleged to have contaminated.
Health officials are gathering samples from Impellizzeri to determine whether he may have spread infectious diseases to others at the school, according to prosecutors.
Charges Against School Custodian
Impellizzeri was charged with two counts of tampering with food stuffs, aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of a child, and attempting to endanger the welfare of children. All counts were in the third degree.
A second-degree official misconduct charge was included on Thursday.
Impellizzeri was detained in the Cumberland County Jail while he awaited judicial proceedings.
In a message to the school community this week, Upper Deerfield Schools Superintendent Peter Koza stated the employee was on administrative leave and in police custody without providing his name.
