A child psychiatrist in Charlotte, North Carolina, has received a 40-year prison sentence in a startling and disturbing case. The offender utilized artificial intelligence (AI) to generate child pornography and covertly recorded his 15-year-old cousin as she bathed. Concerning his abhorrent deeds, David Tatum, age 41, was charged with extensive offenses; his sentence underscores the gravity of his transgressions.
How Tatum produced juvenile pornography was disconcerting. By superimposing sexually explicit material onto photographs of ex-girlfriends that he had obtained online, he manipulated images of juveniles. Furthermore, he altered benign photos captured at events such as school gatherings and the first day of classes in a digital format so that they became sexually explicit.
According to court documents, it has been revealed that Tatum was found in possession of more than 1,000 files containing child pornography. These files were reportedly labeled with the alarming phrase “PTHC,” which is an acronym for “pre-teen hardcore.” From 2016 to 2021, he diligently preserved this collection, showcasing the depth of his engagement in this illicit pursuit.
Tatum not only secretly recorded his 15-year-old cousin but also other family members, including juveniles, as they bathed and undressed in the bathrooms, which further aggravates the abhorrence of this case. During therapy, he even captured an ex-patient by directing a camera up her skirt.
