Kentucky authorities arrested Brittany Slaughter, 24, and her boyfriend, Adam Hayes, 34, following a troubling revelation linked to the disappearance of 4-year-old Chloe Darnell.
The authorities, who believe they’ve found the child’s body, have charged the pair with murder, abuse of a corpse, and tampering with physical evidence.
This distressing case took a puzzling turn when it was revealed that although young Chloe had not been seen since September, her absence went unreported until recently, according to a press release from the Whitley County Sheriff’s Department. Brittany Slaughter, who had custody of the girl, now finds herself in custody facing grave accusations alongside her boyfriend, Adam Hayes.
