New York City Tragedy: 2 Teen Brothers Stabbed, 1 Fatally, Outside Axe Throwing Bar

A Thanksgiving morning tragedy outside Live Axe, a venue located at 96 Lafayette St. in Lower New York, claimed the life of a seventeen-year-old kid and injured his nineteen-year-old sibling.

The event happened around 1:50 am during a fight with another gang, according to law enforcement sources and accounts from the New York authorities.

Despite the venue’s association with axes, law enforcement sources clarified that no axe was involved in the altercation. The specific reason behind the altercation is still unknown, enveloping the incident in a veil of uncertainty and leaving the circumstances surrounding it unclear.

Both teenagers suffered stab wounds to their torsos during the altercation, as confirmed by the NYPD. Emergency services rushed the younger sibling to Bellevue Hospital, where he was tragically pronounced dead. As of now, his identity remains undisclosed pending family notification.

On the contrary, the older brother, who was also harmed during the altercation, was swiftly taken to Bellevue Hospital for medical attention. Reports indicate that he is currently in a stable condition following the incident.

New York Authorities Seek Public Cooperation

The area around the scene was cordoned off as investigators worked diligently to gather evidence and piece together the circumstances surrounding the tragic event.

Despite swift police response and ongoing investigations, no arrests were made in connection with the incident as of Thursday. 

The lack of immediate apprehension has added to the complexity of the case, leaving law enforcement searching for leads to shed light on the altercation’s trigger and those responsible for the fatal stabbing.
