The New York police promptly attended to a concerning report at a residential complex located on 674 E. 136th Street around 6:40 am on November 26th.

On a Sunday morning, a shocking discovery shocked the Bronx community. What they discovered was horrifying and heartbreaking.

Jonathan Rivera, aged 37, was discovered in the first-floor hallway, fatally stabbed. The grim revelation didn’t end there. 

Officers in New York discovered Hanoi Peralta, 38, and their little son, Kayden Rivera, 5, dead inside their apartment after conducting an additional investigation. They had both been fatally stabbed as well. There were indications of forced entry on the door, giving the impression of a terrible intrusion.

The neighborhood was filled with the lingering effects of the sad occurrence. Neighbor Fernando Cruz remembered hearing unsettling noises before the shocking discovery. Cruz described what happened in a terrifying way: “I heard a scuffle or something going on in the hallway. I know I heard that, and then I heard a woman screaming.”

The victims were known and beloved within their community. Larry Wesley, another neighbor, fondly remembered Kayden Rivera, describing him as a “cool little guy” who always greeted everyone warmly. 

Others echoed sentiments of kindness, expressing shock and disbelief that such a friendly family could meet such a tragic fate. Their regular routines and interactions with locals now stand as haunting reminders. 

Dahan Ali, owner of a nearby deli, shared his routine encounters with the family, highlighting the ordinary yet heartwarming moments. Rivera, a diligent worker employed in maintenance at a local daycare, left behind memories of his amiable demeanor and dedication to his work.

As of right now, no suspects have been taken into custody despite the anguish felt by the community and the New York police inquiry. 

Following the occurrence, the community is in sorrow, looking for explanations, and trying to come to terms with the unexpected and unexpected death of a beloved family member.

While inquiries are ongoing, the people of New York are in shock, lamenting the deaths of Jonathan Rivera, Hanoi Peralta, and their adored son, Kayden Rivera, and clinging to their priceless memories.
