A troubling event in Sunrise, Florida led to the arrest of Pamela Gladys Gaensel, 47, on child abuse charges, captured by a neighbor’s doorbell camera.

The unsettling scene, captured around 2:15 pm, depicted Gaensel pulling her 6-year-old son out of an SUV by his hair before aggressively tossing his booster seat at him.

Shockingly, the footage showed Gaensel repeatedly slapping the young boy, hurling objects over his head into a neighboring yard, as he hurriedly collected them.

Prosecutors in Florida stated that Gaensel used disparaging remarks about her son, as audible in the upsetting video. It is alleged that Gaensel’s other two children, who are three and seven years old, were in the car when the upsetting event occurred.

Law enforcement authorities discovered marks and bruises consistent with the abuse depicted in the footage when they located the boy at his school, identified via Gaensel’s vehicle information. Gaensel was apprehended by officers as she arrived to pick up her son after the school day.

A troubling event in Sunrise, Florida led to the arrest of Pamela Gladys Gaensel, 47, on child abuse charges, captured by a neighbor’s doorbell camera.

Gaensel justified her actions to the police, claiming she was disciplining her son for unclipping his car seat. However, this explanation contradicted the severity of the video evidence, where Gaensel’s physical aggression was evident.

Charged with child abuse without great bodily harm, Gaensel was released on a $5,000 bond, shielding herself from reporters’ queries upon leaving the detention center.

Gaensel was barred from communicating with her kid by the Florida court until the Department of Children and Families offered more direction. Her father was then awarded custody of her three children.

Efforts to obtain comments from the Sunrise Police Department or the Broward County State Attorney’s Office regarding the distressing incident remained unavailing at the time of reporting.

The disturbing incident has horrified the people of Florida and brought attention to how serious it is to deal with cases of child abuse as well as how important it is to protect the welfare of children who are at risk.
