Residents are instructed to visit the Montgomery website to initiate the rebate application process.
Applicants are advised to have a copy of their Kane or Kendall County Tax Bill on hand, as all necessary information to complete the application can be found on residents’ county tax bills.
Montgomery Property Tax Rebate Eligibility
To be eligible for the Montgomery property tax rebate, the applicant must have possessed legal or equitable title to the residential property from January 1, 2022, to December 31, 2022.
If the applicant is the property owner and the property is a rental, the owner must ensure that no other party applies for the rebate for the specified property.
The rebate is not applicable to Village of Montgomery utility-only customers, such as Boulder Hill residents, as they are not subjected to Village taxes.
Additionally, individuals who sold their property within the 2022 calendar year are ineligible for the rebate.
Montgomery has been providing property rebates since 2015. Selected applicants can receive the rebate either in the form of a paper check or as a credit applied to their village utility bills. (interservices.fr
The credit will be administered to utility bill accounts on or around April 1, 2024.
