A horrifying incident at Grand Central Terminal on Christmas Day left two teenage girls from South America injured and a New York man, 36-year-old Steven Hutcherson from the Bronx, facing a slew of charges, including attempted murder and a hate crime.

The assault occurred at approximately 11:25 am when the 14 and 16-year-old girls, accompanied by their parents, were in the midst of a meal at Tartinery, a French café situated inside the terminal.

Hutcherson allegedly flew into a rage after being asked by café staff not to sit near the teenagers. Brandishing a knife, he reportedly yelled, “I want all the White people dead,” before viciously stabbing each girl.

Swift police response led to Hutcherson’s arrest within a minute of the initial report. The victims were rushed to Bellevue Hospital, with the 16-year-old suffering a collapsed lung from a backstab, while the 14-year-old sustained a thigh injury.

Hutcherson, described by New York law enforcement sources as an emotionally disturbed person, faces a battery of charges, including attempted murder, assault, and a hate crime. His prior arrests, totaling 17, depict a pattern of escalating threats and violence. Just last month, he was apprehended for threatening to shoot someone, although no firearm was recovered.
