Warriors Lock in Quiñones: Elevating from Two-Way to Full NBA Contract

391

The Golden State Warriors are finalizing their roster for the 2023-24 NBA season as guard Lester Quiñones moves from a two-way to a standard contract.

Quiñones, who has impressed in his 19 appearances for the Warriors this season, has caught the attention of the team’s management and coaching staff.

Averaging 4.8 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in just under 13 minutes per game, the 23-year-old has proven himself as a valuable asset off the bench.

The decision to convert Quiñones’ contract comes as no surprise given his contributions on the court. With two-way players losing eligibility after 50 games played, the Warriors are keen to secure Quiñones’ services for the remainder of the season and potentially beyond.

By filling the Warriors’ 14th guaranteed roster spot, Quiñones’ promotion makes it unlikely that the team will explore the buyout market for additional talent.

Warriors Eye Competitive West

The Golden State Warriors are finalizing their roster for the 2023-24 NBA season as guard Lester Quiñones moves from a two-way to a standard contract.

While this move doesn’t completely shut the door on potential roster changes, it does signify the team’s confidence in Quiñones’ ability to contribute down the stretch.

Having initially gone undrafted in the 2022 NBA Draft, Quiñones has seized his opportunity with the Warriors since joining the team. After signing a two-way contract last year, he has continued to impress with his versatility and energy on the court.

As the Warriors set their sights on a playoff run, Quiñones figures to play a crucial role in coach Steve Kerr’s rotation. His ability to provide scoring, rebounding, and playmaking off the bench adds depth to the team’s roster and enhances their chances of postseason success.

With Quiñones now locked in on a standard NBA contract, the Warriors can focus on fine-tuning their lineup and building chemistry as they prepare for the challenges that lie ahead in the competitive Western Conference.

As Quiñones continues to develop and grow within the organization, his journey from two-way player to established NBA talent serves as a testament to his hard work and determination.
