While the delay has raised questions, both fighters are navigating through a maze of complexities, with money being a significant factor, according to UFC CEO Dana White.
Chandler has been keen to take advantage of the break, having a record of 2-3 in the UFC and 23-8 in mixed martial arts. He recently took center stage at a WWE Monday Night RAW event, using the occasion to boldly challenge McGregor.
Reflecting on the delay, Chandler shared insights during an appearance on The MMA Hour, acknowledging the various layers contributing to the hold-up.
Chandler expressed, “I’ve likely felt the anticipation more than anyone else, haven’t I? I’ve been eager to compete since my time on ‘The Ultimate Fighter.’ Nevertheless, I recognize the benefits of the time off.”
