Andrew Wiggins has returned to the team’s practice facility on Tuesday after being absent for four consecutive games due to a personal family matter, as reported by various sources.
On Monday, Wiggins flew back to the Bay Area and subsequently participated in the team’s practice session on Tuesday afternoon.
Warriors head coach Steve Kerr indicated that Wiggins is anticipated to be available for Wednesday night’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks at the Chase Center.
The specific details surrounding Wiggins’ absence remain undisclosed.
Warriors Thrive Without Wiggins: 3-1 Record in His Absence
However, Wiggins mentioned on Tuesday that while matters have not been fully resolved, he is taking each day as it comes.
Despite Wiggins’ absence, the Warriors managed to perform well in the past week, securing a 3-1 record without him.
Victories were achieved against the Washington Wizards, New York Knicks, and Toronto Raptors.
However, they suffered a significant defeat of 140-88 against the Boston Celtics on Sunday, concluding a four-game road trip.
During Wiggins’ absence, Moses Moody assumed the starting role, but he is expected to return to the bench with Wiggins’ comeback.
The Awaited Return of Andrew Wiggins
On March 5, Shams Charania of The Athletic reported that Wiggins would rejoin team activities following his absence due to a “serious family matter.”
Shortly after Charania’s announcement, video footage surfaced on social media showing Wiggins participating in practice.
Following practice, coach Kerr confirmed to the media that Wiggins is set to play in Wednesday’s game against the Bucks.
While it’s likely that Wiggins will start, Kerr did not specify the duration of his playing time.
