Jude Bellingham overcame his current suspension to assist Vinicius Junior’s goal during a tense evening for Real Madrid.

While playing Real Madrid in the Bernabeu, RB Leipzig put up a valiant effort to take the match. The goal scored by Vinicius Junior was quickly balanced by the captain, Willi Orban, and Dani Olmo came close to scoring in the final minute of stoppage time.

Real Madrid has made it to the quarterfinals of the Champions League for the 12th time in the past 14 years. In order for Carlo Ancelotti’s club to have a chance at winning the trophy for a record 15th time, they will need to make significant changes to their lineup.

Bellingham’s day was filled with a lot of thrills, including the fact that La Liga delayed his match against Valencia because he expressed his frustration against the referee who had stopped the game before he could score what he felt to be the game-winning goal.

Before the Dutchman’s header was stopped, Leipzig had the potential to end the evening. Lois Openda had three solid chances to score, but she failed to convert any of them. The home crowd booed as the halftime whistle blew because Xavi Simons had taken a curling shot that Real goalkeeper Andriy Lunin had hammered away. This caused the home fans to express their disapproval.

While Ancelotti was attempting to bolster the midfield, Bellingham was placed in the No. 10 position. On the other hand, he abandoned this unsuccessful plan and substituted Rodrygo, a Brazilian striker, at the halfway break.

The opportunities that were presented to Leipzig continued to build, and Openda was able to go past Lunin, but he made the terrible decision to throw the ball to the Ukrainian player. While it was going on, Antonio Rudiger was able to clear Olmo’s long-range free kick.
