A lady who claimed to be Jerry Jones’ biological daughter had a setback when her defamation lawsuit against the Dallas Cowboys owner was rejected on Wednesday, according to a recent development that was covered by The Dallas Morning News. Alexandra Davis has initiated two claims for defamation against Jones, claiming that his legal team inaccurately portrayed her as an extortionist.

Davis’ narrative unfolded with allegations asserting that Jones was her biological father, a relationship purportedly stemming from a meeting between her mother, Cynthia, and Jones in the 1990s. She asserted that Jones paid her mother a substantial sum of $375,000 and established trust funds to conceal their connection, which supposedly commenced during an encounter at an American Airlines ticket counter in Little Rock, Arkansas.

The legal saga commenced in 2022 when Davis initiated legal proceedings upon discovering a settlement between Jones and her mother, reportedly involving what she termed as “hush money” provided by Jones to support the family. Subsequently, in 2023, she pursued a separate defamation lawsuit, alleging that Jones and his associates tarnished her reputation and intentions by reframing her as an extortionist.

Judge Dismisses Davis’ Defamation Suit Against Jerry Jones

A lady who claimed to be Jerry Jones’ biological daughter had a setback when her defamation lawsuit against the Dallas Cowboys owner was rejected on Wednesday, according to a recent development that was covered by The Dallas Morning News.

Expressing her stance, Davis remarked in a statement last year, “I have been falsely accused of a ‘shakedown’ and ‘extortion.’ In reality, I am a daughter who simply wants to acknowledge her father without fear of retribution. I will not stand by and let my father’s actions or words define me or my future.”

However, Federal Judge Robert W. Schroeder III delivered a ruling favoring Jones, citing Davis’ repeated attempts to seek financial compensation from him since 2017. The judge highlighted Davis’ consistent requests for monetary support, spanning multiple years, as indicative of a pattern aimed at financial gain.

Announcing the court’s decision, Judge Schroeder stated, “Based on the evidence presented and the pattern of behavior, the court finds that the plaintiff’s claims lack merit. The defamation suit is hereby dismissed.”

Through the period of the court encounter between Davis and Jones, the outcome signifies a crucial change of circumstances. Although the fact that Davis expressed a desire for Jones to recognize and back her as her alleged father, the finding of the court indicates that her actions were seen as being motivated by money considerations.
