During Saturday’s game at Toyota Center, Houston Rockets forward Jabari Smith Jr. and Utah Jazz guard Kris Dunn found themselves ejected just five seconds into the second quarter.
This swift exit came as a result of both players receiving technical fouls for engaging in a brief scuffle.
Dunn, aged 30, initiated the altercation by throwing the initial punch. In response, Smith Jr., aged 20, retaliated, but both individuals failed to land their intended strikes.
A scuffle ensued when they became entangled while the ball was being brought up the court.
Smith, Dunn Clash Again: Altercation Ends in Ejections
Smith contributed 5 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists before being ejected, while Dunn had 2 points and 1 rebound.
This was the second altercation between these two individuals this season.
During the previous encounter, Dunn forcefully set a screen on Smith, resulting in a confrontation between the two.
They were only given technical fouls here and were not ejected.
After a close overtime struggle, the Rockets prevailed in that game, and they did so more easily in the most recent one.
After one quarter, the Rockets led 47-21, demonstrating their dominance of the game from the outset.
Their season record improved to 35-35 as they triumphed easily, 147-119, keeping up their amazing play.
