She was honored with multiple honors, including the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award in 2018 for her four trips to the NCAA tournament at Mississippi State, where she played in consecutive championship games.

Coach Noelle Quinn of Seattle praised Vivians’ versatility and scoring prowess, predicting that she would get along well with the team’s current roster.

This is perceived as a calculated attempt to add a versatile player and a proficient perimeter scorer to the team’s squad.

Victoria Vivians’ WNBA Journey

Vivians was released from the Fever on March 21 and then joined the Storm. The Fever made the decision to release Vivians in spite of her contributions as they prepare to enter a new phase, marked by their projected high picks in the WNBA draft, which includes the No. 1 pick.

Vivians agreed to a two-year, protected deal that would run through the end of 2024, thus the Fever will still owe her $137,000 for the current campaign.

Her signing with the Storm is a component of their larger strategic plan to strengthen their lineup in time for the next campaign.

Along with Vivians, the Storm has added a number of notable players to their roster in an effort to build a versatile and competitive team that can contend at the highest levels, including Nneka Ogwumike, Jewell Loyd, Skylar Diggins-Smith, Mercedes Russell, and Ezi Magbegor.
