The Stanford women’s basketball team’s standout player, Cameron Brink, came under fire during a recent NCAA Tournament game against Iowa State.

In spite of the setback, Stanford defeated Iowa State in dramatic overtime to go to the Sweet 16. Kiki Iriafen led the team with an incredible effort, scoring 41 points and grabbing 16 rebounds.

Due to foul issues, Brink—a highly anticipated prospect for the WNBA Draft—struggled in the game, scoring just eight points in 22 minutes. It turned out to be a physical struggle between her and Iowa State’s Audi Crooks, another rising star in women’s collegiate basketball.

Being among the best players in her draft class, Brink appears to have a bright career in the WNBA.

Her on-court behavior, especially with regard to referees, has prompted questions about whether she is ready to represent a professional team, though.
