Davis was discovered at a residence in Southwest Ranches, Florida, as reported by Julian Quintana of 7News. 

While the circumstances surrounding his death are under investigation, authorities have ruled out foul play. Jim Irsay, owner of the Indianapolis Colts, confirmed Davis’s passing, fondly remembering him as a “great guy, teammate, and player.”

Drafted in the first round by the Miami Dolphins in 2009, Davis quickly established himself as a formidable force in the NFL. 

Davis’ tenure with the Dolphins spanned three seasons before he found a new home with the Indianapolis Colts. It was in Indianapolis where Davis truly flourished, earning Pro Bowl honors and solidifying his reputation as one of the league’s top cornerbacks.

In the 2014 playoffs, Davis’s stellar play propelled the Colts to the AFC Championship Game, showcasing his prowess as a shutdown corner. His performance that season earned him accolades from Pro Football Focus, which ranked him as the top cornerback in the league.

Despite his achievements, Davis’s career took an unexpected turn when he abruptly retired at halftime of his first game with the Buffalo Bills in 2018.
