Rashee Rice, a wide receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs, is allegedly the target of a conversation between Dallas police and the luxury automobile owners after they fled the scene of a high-speed collision.
In a statement, Rice’s lawyer, Royce West, said that his client is assisting the police “and will take all necessary steps to address this situation responsibly.” A portion of the Dallas region is included in the district of Democratic state senator West.
West said in the statement, “On behalf of Rashee Rice, his thoughts are with everyone impacted by the automobile accident on Saturday.”
Around 6:25 p.m. on Saturday, police were summoned to the North Central Expressway in Dallas after two speeding motorists lost control of their car and collided, “causing a chain reaction collision involving four other vehicles.”
Dallas police have reported an incident involving a Lamborghini and a Corvette, with the Lamborghini driving into the shoulder and hitting the median wall of the freeway. According to a Dallas police call sheet, Rice has been identified as the driver of the Corvette, and one of the vehicles is thought to be registered to him. The accident’s cause has not been determined.
Chiefs’ Rashee Rice Allegedly Involved
Police advised the newspaper that “all the occupants of the Lamborghini and the Corvette ran from the scene without stopping to determine if anyone needed medical help or to provide their information.”
Police said that while there were no serious injuries recorded, two persons received on-site treatment while the other two were sent to a nearby hospital.
The driver’s side of Kayla Quinn’s car looks to have suffered harm in a video that she shared on social media. Quinn asserts that she was inside one of the affected cars. Based on a Facebook post purporting to be Quinn’s mother, Quinn’s 4-year-old kid was in the vehicle.
Quinn’s mother posted a video of the incident on social media, which was captured by a bystander and showed others leaving the area. A witness questions about how they’re doing and if they plan to “just leave it.”
The Chiefs chose Rice in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft. Rice was a member of the group that reached the Super Bowl in February. Rice was born and raised in the Dallas region.
In the Super Bowl, he caught six passes for 39 yards, which is quite an accomplishment for a rookie receiver in a fiercely contested championship game against the San Francisco 49ers.
On the accident, the NFL decided not to respond.
An inquiry for remarks has not received a response from the Chiefs.
Chiefs president Mark Donovan stated in an interview with KCMO radio station’s “Mundo in the Morning” that the team will “react accordingly” after all the information has been obtained.
Donovan said he does not yet have all the information on a multi-vehicle accident that occurred in Dallas, Texas. He did, however, recognize that nobody was harmed and expressed his appreciation for that. Once he has all the information, he intends to compile it and take appropriate action.
