Brooklyn Shooting – A shooting occurred in Brooklyn on Monday night, killing one person and injuring another. It happened shortly before 8 p.m. on Mother Gaston Boulevard in Brownsville. Police said a 50-year-old guy was shot in the back and died at the hospital, while a 41-year-old male was shot in the shoulder but is expected to survive. The motivation for the shooting is unknown.

A gunshot in a violent Brooklyn neighborhood on Monday killed one guy and wounded another, according to authorities. Police were summoned to the area of Sutter Ave. and Mother Gaston Blvd. in Brownsville shortly before 8 p.m., according to authorities. When they came, they found a 50-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the back and a 41-year-old man with a bullet in the shoulder. A client at a nearby bodega observed the victims exit separate cars and then heard five shots fired. “I came out, and they were lying there, both of them, on the curb,” stated the unnamed man.

What do the Officials Say?

According to authorities, a third male fled the area on foot. They noted that the occurrence appeared to be tied to drugs. The slain man’s name was not immediately revealed. According to NYPD records, six persons were homicide victims in the 73rd Precinct, which encompasses Brownsville and Ocean Hill, as of Sunday. Three people had been murdered by this time last year, according to the data.
