Joshua was last seen leaving a mental health institution at 1430 South St. on Friday, April 5, at 1:30 p.m., according to the Lincoln Police Department.
Days Later, 28-Year-Old Joshua Martin is Still Missing in Lincoln:
“At first, panicked, scared,” stated Kary Tronson. Tronson talks about how she feels about her 28-year-old nephew Joshua Martin’s going missing. Martin is originally from the vicinity of Millard.
Joshua was last seen at around 1:30 p.m. on Friday, April 5, leaving a mental health institution located at 1430 South St., according to the Lincoln Police Department.
“He’s in every thought; you can’t have a moment’s peace, or you can’t think of another topic for a long time because he’s always popping back into your thoughts,” Tronson explained.
Joshua’s parents declined to go on camera, but while speaking over the phone, his mother described the last several days as exceptionally emotionally and mentally taxing. Joshua has not been seen or heard from for five days, and his family says he acts like a five-year-old, which worries them.
After moving into the mental health facility in April 2023, Joshua had no prior knowledge of the Lincoln region.
Joshua has extreme OCD and is schizophrenic. “There’s a sense of trust that is lost, and then when you can’t trust what they’re intended to do, it makes you kind of angry,” Tronson explained. She expressed her continued optimism for her nephew’s survival. Yes. I am, of course. That would be the ideal result. I’m generally a cheerful and upbeat person. He is still alive.
When Joshua was last seen, he was sporting black shorts, a grey stripe, and a red t-shirt. He has brown hair and brown eyes and weighs 200 pounds at 5’11”.
