Chris King Killed In Nashville Shooting
On April 20, rapper and musician Chris King was fatally shot dead in Nashville while leaving others injured. This rapper was 32-year-old and was having a bright career ahead but left all his followers and lovers with this shocking news.
Chris was very close to famous personalities as a friend, including Justin Bieber, Keke Palmer, Machine Machine Gun Kelly, and Trippie Redd. He was in an alley with pals when shots were fired in downtown Nashville.
In a press release statement, the Nashville Police Department confirmed that moments before the incident, 3 men whom Chris’s group didn’t know approached them and attempted to rob them.
“One of the surviving 29-year-old victims reported the group was hanging out cordially for some time before the suspected individuals attempted to rob these friends. Further, it was then that he heard gunfire and realized he was struck,” police said.
However, the surviving victim has not yet been publicly identified by police.
Chris King’s real name was Christopher Cheeks, who succumbed to his injuries after being rushed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. The participating officials said that “homicide unit detectives are working strong, active leads” into the shooting.
With the release of this tragic news of King’s death, his followers and loved ones rushed to social media platforms to pay tribute to this musician.
Justin Bieber, who was his roommate years ago, posted a story tributing him as “Love you bro. This one hurts. Please keep his family in your prayers. See you in paradise brother”.
Also in December 2023, King himself revealed that he and the “Peaches” hitmaker lived together about 10 years ago. He also posted the status remembering him.
Many other celebrities also paid their respect and condolences to the King including Trippie Redd, who was one of his close friends.
Chris kick started his career over a decade back with releasing several mixtapes and LPs during that time. Further, his most popular works include the Luck of the Snotty, Seeing Double Seeing Double, and others.
King was in Tenn., for over a weekend to perform at the Nashville Cannafest on Friday night.
