Alexis Gabe was last seen inside her home in Antioch on January 26, 2022. After she was reported missing, Alexis’ car was found in Oakley which was unlocked with the keys inside the vehicle.

The police examined the surveillance footage, which later revealed that a man had exited Alexis’s car shortly after she disappeared. Further then, they released the footage for leads on the man’s identity and announced a reward of $10000 for anyone who would provide the relevant information.

On June 2, 2022, a news channel reported that Alexis GAbe’s ex-boyfriend, who was a suspect in the case, was fatally shot and killed by the police in a Seattle suburb. The police reportedly attempted to serve Marshall Jones with an arrest warrant before they shot him outside an apartment complex in Kent.

According to the Seattle police officers, Jones charged at the officers with a knife. That led to the US Marshal opening fire and killing him at the scene.

Marshall Jones, who knows Alexis Gabe, allegedly told the police that she was with him at his home until 9 p.m. on the night she went missing. He added that she then drove off in her car, a blue Infiniti coupe. Authorities then wiretapped Jones’ phone officially.

They also consider DNA evidence to charge him with Alexis Gabe’s murder, although her remains were not found by then. At the time of his death, the police had not established a determined motive for Alexis’ murder.

A renowned Magazine agency reported in November that in 2022, authorities had discovered the partial remains of Alexis Gabe. The Oakley Police Department confirmed her identity through dental records. They then announced that a resident of Plymouth, California, had found the remains. Considering the condition that the remains were found in, authorities predicted that they would not be able to recover her full body.

The investigation claimed that they didn’t believe Alexis Gabe left Jones’ house alive. On the other hand, her family had asserted that they would never be able to feel closure with so many unanswered questions. Also they said that they will continue looking in search of her other remains.
