The superhero action series “Gen V” makers have announced that they will not recast Chance Perdomo’s part after his death, claiming that no one can replace the actor who died in March.
‘Gen V’ won’t recast Chance Perdomo’s Role cannot be Replaced:
Perdomo, who played Andre Anderson in Prime Video’s spin-off series “The Boys,” died in a motorcycle crash at the age of 27. In the episode, Andre is a popular Godolkin University student who can manipulate objects magnetically. On Sunday, the makers of “Gen V” announced social media. “As we continue to navigate the tragic loss of Chance Perdomo, everyone at Gen V is determined to find the best way to honor his memory.” We will not be recasting the role since no one can replace Chance,” they stated.
The script for the second season, which begins shooting this month, is being revised to include Perdomo’s death. “Instead, we have been taking the time and space to recraft our season 2 storylines as we begin production in May,” all the “Gen V” cast and crew stated. Perdomo made his small screen debut in 2017 with a recurring role in the third season of the CBBC version of “Hetty Feather” and received a British Academy Television Award nomination the following year for his portrayal in the BBC Three feature “Killed by My Debt.” He rose to notoriety in the Netflix series “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” as Ambrose Spellman, Sabrina’s (Kiernan Shipka) cousin. His character frequently acted as Sabrina’s conscience, confidant, and accomplice.
