In the well-known post-apocalyptic game Fallout: New Vegas, there are a lot of quests that are unlabeled, so you’ll have to search for them. One of these is the Pistol Packing mission, which you can find if you venture deeper into the Hidden Valley area and finally come across the bunker there, which is occupied by Brotherhood of Steel members.
Knight Torres, one of these individuals, will inform you that a laser gun that was in her inventory has vanished. This will allow players to begin the Pistol Packing quest, in which they must return the weapon to Knight Torres in order to receive a reward.
Where to Find Pistol Packing in Fallout: New Vegas
You’ll need to locate Knight Torres before you can begin assisting her with her situation. You’ll want to travel to Hidden Valley, which is located on the map above to the east of Goodsprings and The Devil’s Gullet, in order to get to her.
You’ll want to enter the fenced-in area as soon as you arrive. Three different levels of Picklocking will be needed to open the doors to the bunker entrances: Level 50, Level 75, and Level 100. The one requiring Level 100 Picklocking is the only one that will truly let you into the bunker where Knight Torres is located.
But, you can take the above-mentioned route from the Level 100 bunker eastward to avoid Picklocking. Proceed straight on the route and then bear left. There’s a massive hole on the ground where some centaur foes are located. You can obtain goods from a few corpses that are located in the center of the crater. You should pick up the holotape that one person in particular will have.
Next, head back to the bunker. Open your Pip-Boy inside of here, and select Misc under Data. To find out the temporary password to enter, play the Mission Statement holotape. Next, go over to the intercom and select ‘The better part of valour’.
How to Complete Pistol Packing in Fallout: New Vegas
To start the quest, select ‘Anything I can help you with?’ when you start speaking with Knight Torres. Once you get going, you should adhere to the following guidelines:
Go see the Paladin next to Knight Torres at the fire range. If he has any information regarding the missing weapon, ask him.
Right now, you should look for Initiate Stanton. As soon as you exit the firing range, turn right and proceed straight ahead. Proceed along the pathway until you get to a door with a glowing yellow ring on the left. Once you step inside, Stanton will be seated behind the desk on the left. He occasionally roams the bunker’s first floor when he’s not in the classroom.
Once you’ve spoken with Stanton, exit the bunker once more. Next, make a right turn and go south/southeast along the trail through the shattered fence to reach Scorpion Gulch.
Continue straight down this road, passing more Bark Scorpions and Giant Radscorpions along the way. Proceed towards the bottom pit region, where additional scorpion opponents await your defeat.
The laser pistol is positioned on top of a large boulder in the center of the area, to the left of you.
At last, make your way back to the bunker and ascend to Knight Torres. She will reward you with a Tri-beam Laser Rifle, one of the best weapons in the game, and grant you Brotherhood of Steel fame after she turns in the weapon.
