Reports from his home country of Italy state that he was prescribed medication after being diagnosed with a bacterial illness. However, it was said that the virus moved to his lungs and caused pneumonia.

Upon learning of his hospitalization, his mother, Cinzia, father, Fabrizio, and aunt Marina, he was hurried to Scotland to be at his side. He was in critical care by the time they got there on May 1.

The Bologna supercar worker was initially still talking and aware, but his temperature rose dangerously.

It has been reported that Mauro died on Friday due to a brain hemorrhage.

Family members questioned about the specifics of his care and described his passing as a “bolt from the blue.”

His relatives stated that learning of his passing came as a great shock because he was among the healthiest persons in the community and rarely became ill.

Family Statements:

They said that he was in excellent condition before departing and would not have taken a vacation if there had been any indication of sickness.

The family is seeking to know if the therapy that the physicians first gave him had any harmful effects on the course of treatment.

According to an Italian embassy official, documentation is being prepared and will be accessible on May 7. Following that, his remains may be sent home, and a burial date may be scheduled.

Mauro, a native of Stezzano in the province of Bergamo, completed his studies at the Natta Scientific and Technological High School in Bergamo with honors, and the Polytechnic of Milan awarded him a degree in mathematical engineering in 2013.

After earning a master’s degree from the University of Munich, he worked for the German automaker Audi until relocating to Bologna in 2020 to take a position at Lamborghini.

He had a strong interest in travel, photography, and hiking.
