Evans stated that firefighters discovered her and is currently being medically evaluated owing to the multiple hours of exposure to the elements. A statewide advisory was issued for a 6-year-old Pike County girl who went missing Thursday morning. Authorities fear that Airies Flannery is in danger. The Pike County Sheriff’s Office says Flannery wandered away from her house in the 100 block of Hopper Road. Family relatives told 10TV reporter Carla Rogner that they believe she departed overnight. They found out she was missing at 6 a.m. Family members also say Airies’ mother died a few years ago. She sometimes ran off, stating she was “looking for mommy.”
What happened to her?
According to the family, Airies used to go to the water in a forested area behind her house. Airies was last seen in a long-sleeved tie-dye shirt, dark blue jeans, and rainbow Crocs. Family members suspect she may have taken their pet with her. The sheriff’s office claims Airies has a disability but does not disclose any other information. Sheriff Tracy Evans stated that the longer the hunt lasts, the more vital it will be. The agency is using drones to seek for Airies. “We are exhausting every effort we can to find this little girl,” Evans stated.
Ryan, Airies’ father, says he has no idea why she may have left their home. “I just wanted to find my daughter, and I need her back home. Ryan added, “Everyone back here loves her.” Evans stated that he has no evidence of her disappearance or foul play. The Southern Ohio Correctional Facility Search and Rescue Team, tracking dogs, Portsmouth EMS, and local fire departments are all combing the area.
