Man Arrested In Connection With Shooting At McDonald
Last week,a local attorney Jeffrey Limmer, aged 46, was pronounced dead by Houston Fire Department paramedics, after being shot at West Houston McDonald.
Local officials have arrested a suspect on Friday, Anthony Martin Landry, aged 57, on the murder charge of attorney Limmer.
This incident happened on 4th May 2024 at West Houston McDonald located at 8147 Katy Freeway. As reported to the police, the attorney was trying to calm the customer and was killed after getting into a “verbal fight” with that angry McDonald’s customer.
As stated in court records, Customer was upset with his order and was demanding a refund for his purchase. He became very irate and used racial slurs with the restaurant employees. He was even making crude remarks on them. To worsen the situation,the attorney Limmer stepped in to de-escalate the argument.
Attorney Limmer was trying to resolve the situation between the customer and the employees. After which the customer shifted his attention towards the attorney.
Their fight followed outside the restaurant. According to the submitted reports, Attorney Limmer pushed Landry to the ground and returned inside the restaurant.
After this incident, as reported in court documents,Landry went straight towards his vehicle, took out his gun from the vehicle and walked through the main entrance of the restaurant with a loaded gun and fired multiple gunshots on Limmer. The suspect then left the restaurant in an early 2000s blue Ford pickup truck.
Police reached at the scene found Limmer dead on spot due to severe injuries from the gunshots.
On several investigations, Houston police succeed in locating the suspect.
He was identified as Martin Limmer and Previous police records about him reported that Landry was previously out on bond for an assault charge on a family member in February. He is currently detained in jail, without bond, and awaits his first court appearance.
After the arrest of the suspect, Limmer’s family released a statement “Our family is relieved to learn that the suspect has been identified, and we pray that he is apprehended as soon as possible so that he cannot hurt anyone else.”
