A Ukrainian missile crashed into a ten-story residential building in Belgorod, Russia, during the night, according to the governor of the area.

According to a Sunday update from the Emergency Situations Ministry, the death toll has risen to fifteen.

Governor of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov wrote on Telegram, “The Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a massive attack on the Belgorod city and the Belgorod district.”

The Tochka from UkraineAccording to a statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense, the building was struck by one of numerous U missiles fired by Ukraine during the course of the night. According to the ministry, it was unclear if the damage was from missile parts that had crashed or if the missile had targeted the structure specifically.

11 people’s bodies were originally found within the apartment building’s debris by search and rescue personnel, according to Russia’s Emergency Situations Ministry.

Although the reports could not be easily verified, Ukrainian military officials refrained from commenting on them right away.

Photographs of the apartment building in Kharkovskaya Gora showed what seemed to be a fully devastated core section, with the surviving structure standing on each side of a void.
