In Rains County, Texas, a lineman from Farmers Electric Cooperative, named Scott Balentine, tragically passed away while working to restore power after severe weather. The cooperative confirmed that Scott was electrocuted during his work following a recent storm.

Scott, who had been a lineman for ten years, was described as not just a colleague but a friend by General Manager Mark Stubbs. The cooperative expressed deep sadness over the loss and extended thoughts and prayers to Scott’s family during this challenging time.

Scott, survived by his wife and 12-year-old daughter, was taken to a nearby hospital but unfortunately did not make it. The New Hope Baptist church in Lone Oak, where his family attends, mentioned that funeral arrangements will be shared once they are arranged.
