Ryan Garcia arrested for felony vandalism at luxury Beverly Hills hotel, taken away in handcuffs
Ryan Garcia got into some trouble over the weekend. The 25-year-old boxer was arrested for felony vandalism at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Beverly Hills. According to Lt. Chris Coulter, Garcia caused over $15,000 in damages, which led to the felony charge under California law since the damages exceeded $400.
The incident occurred around 8:45 p.m. ET, and after the hotel staff called the authorities, Garcia was taken into custody. He was later transported to a hospital due to some medical complaints and was eventually released. His attorney mentioned that Garcia was taken for evaluation and treatment and might face charges related to public intoxication.
This arrest adds to Garcia’s recent troubles as he faces a potential suspension for testing positive for PEDs before his bout against Devin Haney. In a video from TMZ, Garcia can be seen wearing a helmet as he was escorted out of the hotel by authorities. Witnesses reported a significant police presence at the scene.
This isn’t the first time Garcia has had a brush with the law. Just a few days earlier, there was a welfare check on him due to concerns about his well-being. Law enforcement confirmed he was okay during that incident and that no additional crimes were committed. Following these events, Garcia was spotted with his brother Sean on Rodeo Drive.
