The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office announced on social media that a 29-year-old prisoner passed away on Saturday at 2:15 a.m. while in custody at the Sacramento County Main Jail, without naming the dead individual.

The man’s name will be made public once his next of kin have been notified, according to the sheriff’s office, and the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will ascertain the cause of death. According to the sheriff’s office, the death is still being looked into.

During a cell check, jail authorities found one unconscious prisoner, according to the sheriff’s office. He was declared dead at the site, according to the sheriff’s office, even though the deputies tried life-saving measures right away until the fire department and medical personnel responded.
