Amber Portwood’s partner, Gary Wayt, has been reported missing, and Portwood has recently spoken out about his disappearance. The Bryson City Police Department in North Carolina shared on Facebook that 39-year-old Wayt was last seen on Sunday, June 9, in the Arlington Ave. area of Bryson City. Wayt, who weighs 205 lbs, has bald hair, and brown eyes, drives a grey 2009 Nissan Rogue SUV with Indiana state registration plate WLH 616. Authorities have requested anyone with information to contact 828-488-2196 and ask for Chief Robinson or Assistant Chief Dover.

Portwood, in an emotional YouTube video posted on Wednesday, June 12, expressed her concern, stating, “This is a huge deal, his parents, everybody is very worried. I am worried.” She clarified that there was no significant argument leading to his disappearance, emphasizing that he is currently a missing person.

Portwood mentioned that the police are informed about Wayt’s disappearance. She explained that Wayt left their North Carolina residence, leaving his phone behind, and was later seen at Walgreens. Although he took his wallet and keys, his car lacks GPS, making navigation challenging in the mountainous terrain. Portwood expressed fear due to the unfamiliar surroundings, saying, “We are in the mountains. He has never driven in the mountains. We are very scared right now.”

The reality star tearfully shared her distress, revealing, “Nobody has found or heard from him yet. I’m trying my best not to think the worst. I haven’t eaten in three days. I’ve only slept for about an hour.”

Portwood also addressed rumors of a disagreement before Wayt’s disappearance, stating, “I am not what people have been saying about me.”
