The Polk County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Tuesday, during an argument close to Lake Wales, a man was shot and killed.
The shooting took place on West Northside Drive, which is somewhat outside of Lake Wales’ city borders.
Deputies said that the individual, whose identity has not been made public, has “an extensive” criminal background.
The gunman, who remained anonymous as well, is under arrest and assisting deputies.
According to a spokesperson for the sheriff’s office, further details should be available on Wednesday.
