A man in Export, Westmoreland County, got shot and killed after an argument over a parking spot, as per the police. The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon around 2 p.m. on Madison Avenue. Daniel Chicka, 65 years old, lost his life in the shooting. Matt Miller, a 32-year-old neighbor, was taken into custody.

The shooting took place on the street, and it seems the parking spot was a long-standing point of contention. Chicka, known as “Slim” to his brothers, was visiting his girlfriend when the tragic incident occurred. According to reports, Miller, who had recently moved in, was very possessive about the parking spot.

“It’s tragic that someone lost their life over something so senseless,” expressed neighbor Greg Rager. Chicka was a retired coal miner from Avonmore, who had a passion for motorcycles and remote-controlled airplanes.

Allegedly, five shots were fired, and Miller is claiming self-defense. However, as of Tuesday night, no charges had been filed in connection with the case. The police are in the process of obtaining search warrants for residences and vehicles involved.
