A Florida plastic surgeon faced charges in his wife’s passing after she suffered cardiac arrest on his operating table, with claims that he delayed calling 911 for 20 minutes, as per the police.

The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s office reported that 41-year-old Benjamin Brown was taken into custody regarding the death of his 33-year-old wife, Hillary Brown.

Authorities were summoned to the Restore Plastic Surgery clinic in Gulf Breeze, Florida, on Nov. 21, 2023, for a medical crisis. Upon arrival at the cosmetic clinic, they found Hillary Brown in cardiac arrest. She was placed on life support but sadly passed away a week later on Nov. 28. Hillary was honored in her obituary for her kind and cheerful demeanor, and for being an organ donor to five individuals.

Following a thorough investigation, authorities sought an arrest warrant for Benjamin Brown. The 41-year-old surrendered himself on Monday, facing charges of second-degree felony homicide and manslaughter by culpable negligence, as stated by the sheriff’s office.
