Pop Star Justin Timberlake Arrested, Accused of Drunk Driving
According to his lawyer, Justin Timberlake was freed from police detention in New York after being charged with one count of driving while drunk.
The musician was spotted “operating his vehicle in an intoxicated condition” in Sag Harbor, New York, at 12:37 on Tuesday morning, according to the authorities. Timberlake was driving a 2025 BMW when he neglected to stop at a stop sign and stay in his travel lane, according to a statement from Sag Harbor Police.
Justin Timberlake Arrested:
It is alleged that Justin Timberlake drove while inebriated, leading to his arrest. According to records acquired by Fox News Digital, Timberlake “performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests” when stopped over by officers early on June 18.
The complaint said Timberlake was “unable to divide attention,” had “bloodshot and glossy” eyes, and had a “heavy alcohol-related stench coming from his breath.” The vocalist of “Cry Me A River” was also “unsteady afoot” and “slowed speech.”
In Sag Harbor, on the eastern end of Long Island, Timberlake was arraigned Tuesday morning, the Suffolk County district office said in a statement.
Timberlake Career:
Starring alongside future girlfriend Britney Spears in Disney’s “The All-New Mickey Mouse Club,” Timberlake started his career at twelve. He rose to prominence in 1995 as a member of NSYNC, which went on to become one of the all-time best-selling boy bands.
Their “No Strings Attached” album sold over 1.1 million copies on its first day and over 2.4 million copies in its first week of release in 2000. For over a decade, that was a world record.
The band announced a permanent break in 2002. With singles like “SexyBack,” “What Goes Around…Comes Around,” and “Suit & Tie,” Timberlake began a phenomenal solo career.
After his Grammy-winning solo debut, “Justified,” he released critically praised R&B-pop albums, including “FutureSex/LoveSounds” in 2006. Not until 2018’s folk diversion “Man of the Woods” did Timberlake’s career start to wane. His first new album in six years, the sentimental “Everything I Thought It Was,” was published in March. It features a return to his signature future funk style.
Justin Timberlake Achievements:
Aside from his roles in several other movies, Timberlake is most renowned for his performances as Sean Parker in the Academy Award-winning “The Social Network” and Mila Kunis in the 2011 romantic comedy “Friends with Benefits.” As Branch’s voice actor, he has been a significant character in the animated “Trolls” franchise since 2016.
He’s received ten Grammys. He received an Oscar nomination in 2017 for the song “Can’t Stop The Feeling!” from the film “Trolls.” For his numerous contributions to “Saturday Night Live,” he has received four Emmy awards.
Timberlake’s “The Forget Tomorrow” world tour began in April and will run through December 20. Before going to Madison Square Garden in New York City the following week, he will do a show in Chicago on Friday.
Timberlake’s Personal Life:
Raised by his stepfather, Paul Harless, a Baptist church choir director, and mother, Lynn Harless, who is recognized for creating the NSYNC moniker, Timberlake grew up in Tennessee.
Actress Jessica Biel and Timberlake were married in 2012. Together, the couple has two boys. Following photos of him shaking hands with actress Alisha Wainwright in 2019, Timberlake formally apologized to Biel. “I feel it is important to address recent rumors that are hurting the people I love,” he said on Social Media, speaking for his family.
Timberlake and Janet Jackson gave a Super Bowl performance in 2004. A section of their dance routine had Timberlake clutching her chest. It was meant to disclose more cloth, but in one of the most notorious wardrobe disasters on television, the maneuver revealed her right breast instead. A week later, Jackson was not allowed to attend the Grammy broadcast, which sparked outrage.
As a result of the “Free Britney” movement, Timberlake was included in the documentary “Framing Britney Spears” in 2021—spears and Timberlake dated during the beginning of the new century. Timberlake played the victim when they called it quits. Spears suffered due to his publicity and was the target of nasty headlines. Several chapters of Spears’ 2023 book, “The Woman in Me,” are devoted to their connection and include incredibly intimate information.
