One Person Dead Following East Charlotte Shooting

CHARLOTTE – A fatal shooting occurred in east Charlotte, as reported by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD).

Officers responded to a call around 11 a.m. on Sunday regarding an assault with a deadly weapon in the 9000 block of Faires Road. Upon arrival, they found a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Medic personnel pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
