In Hialeah, Florida, the police have apprehended a man who was caught on surveillance footage during an illegal dumping incident. The event took place on June 6 near West 44th Avenue and 108th Street.

Officer Scarlett Hernandez, who serves as a police department spokeswoman, verified the arrest of the suspect, Osniel Lezcano Blanco, aged 38, on Tuesday near East Fourth Avenue and 58th Street.

According to Officer Hernandez, Blanco was recorded on camera at around 12:30 p.m. on June 6 driving a 2022 Isuzu truck with an unauthorized homemade trailer in a known dumping zone. The footage clearly shows another individual unloading items from the trailer onto the ground while Blanco was driving.

Following his apprehension, Blanco confessed to the crime. He was charged with violating Florida’s Litter Law and taken to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

As of Wednesday afternoon, Blanco was no longer listed in the jail database. Authorities are seeking information about the second individual seen in the video and encourage anyone with details to contact the Hialeah Police Department or Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers.
