Woman arrested in West Columbia bank robbery

WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. – A swift and coordinated effort by local and federal authorities led to the arrest of 30-year-old Satorius Zayevon Martin, accused of robbing the Security Federal Bank on Sunset Boulevard on Thursday.

The incident occurred around 11:30 a.m., with the suspect allegedly claiming to have a weapon but not displaying one. No injuries were reported.

Martin was apprehended by West Columbia Police, with assistance from the FBI and Lexington County Sheriff’s Office, just two hours after the robbery.

“The quick and coordinated response by our officers and partners demonstrates the dedication and professionalism of all involved,” said Police Chief Marion Boyce. Martin is now in custody at the Lexington County Detention Center, awaiting her first court appearance.
